" YEAH, I could kick myself. In 1992 I sold off my last Mustang GT a 1984 5speed car. When I sold it off it had an automatic in it and I foolishly threw in the T-5. One of the few off the shelf T-5's that came with a 2.95 first gear! Rats!. It wasn't "world Class" but it worked excellent and would have been more than fine for my 4.0L American!
" I try to keep an eye out for another 84 T-5, But haven't found one yet.

'83 too. not rated too high for torque though.

btw all the svt t5s have 2.95 1st, except for the variant used on the
early-'90s mustang cobra which had 3.35 like regular 'stangs but made
from high-nickel steel and rated 330 ft-lbs.
