You've got the 258, Now, pick up the 4.0L and AW4 out of a 2 wheel drive Jeep. Then throw the 258 Crank and rods in the 4.0L. It's a quick way to 275+ [depending on the overbore you use] cubic inches of AMC based six! For a Header, you can use Clifford or any of the 4.0L exhaust manifolds will work. 2000 up 4.0L engine actually come with split cast iron exhaust manifolds. I don't know that anyone has done an install with these in an AMC car yet though. I have a set, but I actually forgot to test them for fit before I put mine back together! So I have them ,but don't know how well they would fit :[ Mark Price ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Widiker, John D" <john.widiker@xxxxxxx> Reply-To: mail-From-mprice-westco.net@xxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Wed, 16 Feb 2005 11:37:45 -0500 >I've been finding lots of deals on Jeep 4.0 engines and transmissions, my >step dad had one in a grand Cherokee and it ran like a top with plenty of >power. That's why such a high (low number) gear was used in the rear axle >(most AMCs are 2.87 or higher).
