Need info : ' 66 Rambler American turn signal pawls in column - GM? Interchange?New?

  Got a friend who needs new turn signal shut-off
pawls for his '66 American convertible, and wants to
go get used ones...are there any alternatives for new
ones? When did AMC go to the GM turn signal internal
unit? Thanks , we're heading out early Sat. morning,
so any answers before then appreciated. :)
