Re: HO Exhaust Manifold in the Eagle -

A: Not so much a change in the Jeep, but something the Eagle wasn't designed
to be without (the front axle hanger) Jeep also has 4 link suspension and
not IFS hung from the motor.

got the
manifold and downpipe from was 2wd so the downpipe don't fit
because of
the front driveshart.
Now I'm GUESSING the 4wd Cherokee has a C bend in the downpipe for
the front drive shaft like my Eagle. It APPEARS that if this is so, I
could use one of these IF I had it cut so the Eagle flange could be
welded on it for the Cat seeing as this is also used as a very solid
front support for the exhaust system.
Anyone see any flaws in this plan.

What did they do to the '91 and up Cherokee that
allows them the different Header from the '87-'90 ?

-or- was it just that a 'fluke' allowd the Renix exhaust
manifold to fit the Eagle - and the '91+ HO
Exhaust manifold is no go - unless you ditch the
front driveshaft ?
