Del Vynals - Hornet Hats - Mod Squad

I'd seen a '74 Hornet Coupe - in Blue with
a White Vynal Top @ the Trans Shop in
Newburgh.
I'd lost my Blue '72 AMX and wanted that
coupe - but so did the owner..........

So - I've the Blue Kammback - which I'm
putting the sliding Sunroof on -

That Hornet looked 'Finished' in the good sense -
as in 'Well Dressed' - with the White 'Hat' .

I grew up in the late 60s - 70s & most cars
had Vynal Roofs - MoPar had 'Mod' Tops for
the Hippie Commuters - Dads' Caddies had
Padded Roofs - the Girls at School wore
Vynal .........so I just Like'em a little 'Formal'.

Do the roof metal area in Eastwoods Corroless
paint prior to the install.
That paint is used on the North Sea Oil Rigs -
and having seen this area on the Discovery Channels
search for lost German WWII Raiders - it has my vote!

Talk it over with the installer as to how far to the
exposed edge the glue / sealer is to go and
not to be stingey.

That is one mean kick your butt Ocean area as to
inhospitable weather -

For a reproduction vinyl top, try contacting Kee Auto Tops at
800-438-5934. They produce a lot of reproduction vinyl tops, and have
a variety of grains to choose from.

Good luck, John..your Hornet is a sweet car.

While the majority of folks have blasted this
idea, I'm looking to have my car's missing
vinyl top restored.

Is anyone aware of NOS or correct reproduction
vinyl top materials for AMCs of 1973 vintage?
My color is (was) called 'CN' Cinnamon.

All help is appreciated.
