Get the brake system, spindles and all, from a 77-83 Hornet, Concord, Gremlin, or Spirit. Stay away from four cylinder parts though, they are different (six and V-8 are the same). Earlier models and all big cars use a bigger rotor that is hard to find and more expensive. On the 66 you will need 66-70 Javelin or AMX front brake lines for disc brakes. They have a metal section 3-4" long that can be bent slightly to clear the steering knuckle (upright). A regular brake line won't clear it. You can also use a 83 or so Ford EXP brake line. Just make sure you get a "banjo bolt" to go with it. The brake line will be a little pricey, BUT GET NEW ONES! May as well change while everything's apart, and a brake line is the last ting you want to burst from age. There is no need to change the rear brakes to disc. You can use the standard master cylinder with the small car brakes mentioned above, just make sure you remove the residual pressure valve from the front brake outlet. Not hard to do, post when you need to! Or you can get a disc brake master from a car similar to the donor (I'd get a new one for safety's sake!!). The small car master should interchange with the American. Watch the brake lines though! Sizes of fittings and placement (side of master) changed over the year. Luckily the fitting on the other end of the brakeline is a standard size, so you can change the line pretty easy.
