Can't help you with the slave, but it will be necesary to retorque the intake and exhaust after the engine is run. No matter what you do now. Best tool to get is a 9/16" 3/8" drive swivel socket for the lower bolts. You can do it with a swivel and regular socket, but the swivel socket is much easier to manage.
   If you don't retorque after a few heat cycles the intake will leak. Been there done that!
