Looking for some more advice here if possible. The master cylinder gave up the weekend before last. Finally after nearly 28 years in the car, 18 of which it was in storage. Russ from Washington state got me a disc brake setup from a 75 Hornet. Because the master cylinder gave up I am finally going to put the disc brakes on the front of my 70 Javelin and replace the booster/master cylinder at the same time. Anybody had any good luck with cross referencing boosters and masters for these applications? Will the Hornet booster and master bolt up to the Javelin firewall? Pushrod length gonna be a problem? Russ sent me the proportioning valve so I see no problem there. Right now the plan is to leave the drums in back, but maybe later install discs in back or go to a Ford 9" with discs. So, in summary, Is the booster and master from a 75 Hornet interchangeable with a 70 Javelin equipped with power drum brakes, but going to discs? If my approach on this is wrong what parts do I need? Maybe just the master from a 75 Hornet? And get a rebuilt booster for the Javelin? thanks, Armand
