Have you guys read the articles referenced on the web site?? Not only does these work they make some sick power even when compared to centrifugal superchargers. Read and surf a little and your opinions will change, at least mine did, I was pretty skeptical at first, not any more. ~John -----Original Message----- From: farna@xxxxxxx [mailto:farna@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, December 17, 2004 7:14 PM To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: mail Digest for 17 Dec 2004 in hour 12:00 That makes sense Ken. So it looks like these remote turbos won't help a quarter mile car much at all because of turbo lag due to the distance away from the engine. They should, however, add power at crusing speeds where the velocity of the exhaust is fast enough out the end of the pipe. So these guys are adding mid range power -- good for cruising and towing (once under way). Like an RV cam. So no good for racers, but a turbo usually picks up 2-3 mpg. That and a little extra towing power would be nice in a truck or big SUV. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!) -------------- Original message ---------------------- > Date: Fri, 17 Dec 2004 11:46:40 -0700 > From: Ken Ames <amesk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: Remote Turbos > > The P-47 turbo pipes were also about a foot in diameter also.
