68 AMX ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS

Hope you can help,

I own a 68 AMX 290, when I put on the headlights the system starts to discharge 
and kill the battery. We changed the alternator, voltage regulator, high-low 
floor switch, headlight switch. The car is fine as long as you keep the 
headlights off. The wiring to the headlights seems fine also. Anywhere else we 
can look?

Confused.......
