Joe, you can get a "universal" cable operated heater valve that mounts in the heater hose. Go to your local NAPA dealer and check their catalogs. There are at leas two styles -- one with a tab so you can mount it to the firewall, one wihtout that just hangs in the hose. I have the later type.
