Joe, you can get a "universal" cable operated heater valve that mounts in the heater hose. Go to your local NAPA dealer and check their catalogs. There are at leas two styles -- one with a tab so you can mount it to the firewall, one wihtout that just hangs in the hose. I have the later type. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http//:farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!) -------------- Original message ---------------------- > Date: Tue, 16 Nov 2004 20:35:38 -0800 (PST) > From: Joe <jgray_55@xxxxxxxxx> > Subject: 72 Gremlin heater temp control valve > To: AMClist <mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx>, > > My 1972 Gremlin... with a 232 6 cyl with factory AC > has the cable operated water control valve (for the > heater)mounted on the firewall.
