I'm installing the Pertronix electronic ignition in our '72 Javelin with a 304. Many of you have done this and I want to get confirmation that I'm hooking the red wire in the correct place. According to the instructions it goes to the + side of the coil if you do not have a ballast resistor in the line from the starter relay. If you do have a ballast resistor it goes before that wire reaches the coil. As far as I can tell from studying the TSM, V8's do not have a ballast resistor or resistor wire before the coil. So I should connect the red wire directly to the + side of the coil. Am I correct on this? Thanks for the help, Neil Shaw
