A: You can call converter companies and get one custom built, but stock is approxiamately 1800 RPM. The only way to tell for sure if it's lockup is to check the top of the valvebody for a 5/16" diameter tube that is S shaped. With this tube means it is lockup, and w/o it can't lockup. Sounds like a higher RPM setup, which means this Jeep is for on road or dirt racing? From: Laddie Williams <aspllc2000@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: 1986 jeep grand wagoneer To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx I have a 1986 grand wagoneer (full size) with an amc 360 v8 and a 727 tf transmission. Does anyone know the the factory stall speed is on the converter? Does anyone know if it is a lockup or non lockup from the factory. I cant seem to find anyone who makes a 2000 stall speed converter to fit my application with a lockup converter. My jeep has an edelbrock performer-plus cam, sure seat springs, and an rpm air gap manifold. I have also installed a holley 2bl 670cfm tbi system. Does anyone have any suggestions for a torque converter? Thanks, Laddie Williams
