Hi all, So I've spent some time away from my eagle and had my dad starting it occasionally to keep it in shape. I got home and, like he said, the shifter lever had come loose. This is supposedly a silver AMX spirit auto floor shifter where the normal black one should be. Anyway, there is no rally pac in at the moment, just bare bones... The shifter is way loose and I believe there used to be a nut holding in in place. I looked all around for the nut and I assume it fell into the hole that goes into the floor. Tomorrow I will bring home my flexible magnetic picker-upper thing and fish around for it inside the floor shifter hole. Anyway, if I happen NOT to find it again, my question is what would happen? WHERE does the hole go? When driving it I feel warm air coming out from the hole, and I don't beleive it's exhaust fumes. Will a lost nut in this hole destroy my tranny if I shift out of park or is the gear box still sealed? Where does the warm air come from? Please help me understand my vehicle... Hoping to be ready for the snow (4x4).... -Chris (PITTSBURGH >LANCASTER , PA) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Y! Messenger - Communicate in real time.
