Armand, you mentioned that the crud could have come from the radiator tranny cooloer. Why not bypass it altogether? Get a heavy duty external cooler and don't even use the radiator mounted cooler. That's all I use on my AW-4 (Aisin Warner -- the Japanese division of Borg Warner, though it might be independent now). I realize the AW-4 is much stronger than the M-44 even though they are related. You could put the Jeep version AW-4 behind your 304 with no problem, really. Pre 96 models use a separate trans controller (they are electronically controlled), but you can easily wire up a manual box with a rotary switch and a couple diodes. That's what I'm running now -- a semi-automaitc trans I guess you'd have to call it. You put it in drive, then turn the switch to change gears. It's easy enough I don't think I'll put an auto controller in! ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
