" Looking at what I can do with the 69 Ambo coupe as far as wheels and
" tires go. I will probably go with some coker redlines and would like to
" go 15's in lieu of the factory 14's. There is a much better supply of
" alum rims in 15 inch than 14 inch. What is the largest rim size and tire
" size that will fit these wheel openings. Anybody done something cool?
nothing scientific, but i always figured 15x8s with 235/60s would've
fitted my '67 [marlin] pretty well.
i wanted to use repro mopar rallies, as i think they complemented the
look of the car better than shiny alum. they can be had up to 15x10
and maybe 16" or 17" sizes too now, and i believe 4.5" backspacing
will -just- clear the susp. you want a deep backspacing for the
widest rim.
