" How would one go about switch axle ratios in an Eagle ? !
"
" D30IFS/AM20 to 3.73s ? !
"
" The Model 20 was easy to find parts to change out. The D30-IFS seems to be not listed any place ? !
"
" What to do ?

" The rear axle is an AMC 15,

-stock- rear. he says the po swapped an amc20 - probably from a mj -
in, and a v8 too.

" but D35 gears are supposed to fit.

i was told this by randy's ring and pinion some years ago.

" The side gears in the diff that the axle slides into may be different
" due to different axle diameters and/or splines, but the ring and
" pinion should interchange.

i was also told that splines are the same [27], but the d35 was
converted to c-clip halfshaft retention early on, so d35 side gears
have a divot for the clip that amc15s don't.

d35 diffs swap into amc15s, giving us a fine assortment of l/s types,
but axle shafts and wheel bearings are different. iirc pinion
bearings and seal are the same.

btw early d35s have a square amc20 axle housing bolt pattern but
c-clip d35s have a mopar pattern.
