Your best bet is to get the Gremlin driveshaft too. You might have to have a shaft made that will fit the T-14 to the rear axle you have (big nut type, right?). That's not very costly. Any local driveline shop can build you a shaft, but you need the right ends -- the front end of the Gremlin shaft and the back end of the Rambler. I wouldn't worry about the u-joint sizes. The Rambler used a small joint, but the rear one has the least amount of stress. I had no problem from the small joint when I ran that T-96 behind a 4.6L, and it was a torque tube with the original 100K mile joint still in it (and just a front joint). ------------- Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2012 17:01:11 -0400 From: BruceG<bruce.griffis@xxxxxxxxx> I've been reading about different shaft lengths and splines. Do I need to be careful about what year T14 I grab? It's a '68 232, and I think the T14 is from '74 Gremlin. Should I search for an earlier T14? Or just snag and run?
