Contrary to what some people think, the master cylinder bore only needs to be big enough to supply volume. The larger bore makes for less brake power (more effort to push the pedal) The early Mustang aftermarlet upgrades switch to a 7/8" bore master without booster. It would be better to remove the residual valve in the original master as long as it's dual servo.
