Re: [AMC-list] A/C refrigerant conversions

IS the system in good order? I converted my Jeep to R134a and all I did was have the R12 evacuated and pulled a vacuum to check for leaks. Then refilled the system using gauges. The system blows cold in the HOT summers of the DEEP SOUTH. I am debating about getting the hoses refitted since 134a will slowly seep out R12 hoses. Be sure the system is clean (if it's been opened). I replaced my receiver/dryer too since my system had been inoperable before I did the conversion. Didn't want any garbage to mess up the new compressor. It's been working well for 7 yrs now, only have to top it off every other year.
