The CTO switches are usually on the driver side of the block under the
intake/exhaust manifold. They are threaded into coolant passages in the block.
There may be one or two of them. Joe

Subject: [AMC-list] 79 258 CTO
Hi Yall, Still haveing some issue with the 79 Pacer.
While I was running new tranny cooler lines I accidently got them above the
egine mount and knocked some Vac lines off! UGH! Anyway, The rubber hoses connct
to metal tubing as well? It seems thesae would prolly go to the CTO, but I cant
see or find it on the block? Anyone know where the location is on the 79 258? I
had plugged these hoses for now, but the car still does not idle well, I have to
get them hooked back up! Any help is greatly apprecited!
Thanks,
Jay
