I dimly remember that Tom J. mentioned his ruminations about what lube to use for his T-96 twin stick. I didn't save those email threads but I'll check the wps website in a few minutes. I bought 75 wt synthetic lube for the T-96 in my 64 Classic. I hope that's not too heavy. I did drain it of the previous lube before I pulled it out, and the lube definitely was not 30 wt which is one of the options mentioned in the TSM. I'm still waiting for the 2nd/3rd gear shift rod. I think I have one coming from Bruce Gasser in Los Angeles. I have not been able to get the modified shift rod created by the previous owner to fit back in place. I plan to roll the car out of the garage later today and check the new clutch for proper operation. I'm slow with projects but it's a hobby for me and I don't actually have to drive any of these cars to work. I have new paint for the roof and I need to fix the turn signals, check out an oil supply problem to the head, reactivate the license (It's on non-op status right now.) clean it up and drive it. The American is leaking tranny fluid from the front seal I think. I hope to check the source of the leak later today. It has run fine though on two trips to work, about 120 miles total out on the open road.
