I removed that from my Spirit when I put in the Eagle axle. It was allowing more suspension flex than I like for highway driving, but my springs were sagging. I added the #2 leaf from the Eagle wagon and it lifted/ firmed the ride nicely without a rock hard truck ride (also put in new Eagle rated shocks) but I did have 2 leaves added at first (too stiff!
