OK, so there was once this super rare Matador with 401.  How many Matadors had 401 in 1974?

55 model 18-7		4dr Station Wagon
93 model 16-7		2dr Sedan Coupe (base)
315 model 16-8		Matador X Coupe
312 model 16-9		Matador Coupe Brougham

Of these ~ 750, any bets on there being more than twenty left?

AMC 401 engine and torqueflite 727 trans pulled form a '74 matador. had 117k miles on motor when pulled a few months ago. Engine has all smog equipment and a/c compressor, even cruise control device! Pics if you want them.

So the Matador had only 117k, and was apparently a southwest car.  Yet it was discarded just for the damn engine.

We in the hobby are ruining our own remaining stock.
