Almost perfectly round cover (like it's hiding a basketball) is M20. M15 aka Dana 35 after '83 is shaped almost like a rugby ball. (oval-ish)

Hey Armand

Thanks for this - I guess my question was "how do I know if I have the AMC
20 axle or indeed one with dimensions that would work OK" - or "does anyone
know if the AMC 20 was fitted to my car" but I didn't ask it very well - as
to driveshafts/axleshafts - I was making a guess at US terminology - we call
'em halfshafts over here so I was wrong on all fronts! Story of my life.

As to the kit - if I can't use it I suspect someone a bit closer to me will
get their hands on it (I'm in England) it's not the sort of thing we see
over here very often so I guess someone will snap it up if I don't.
