The fuel pump and wiper motor on your car will be a little bit different than on my 67 American but they all work the same way.
Both items are easy rebuild (you can do both in a weekend) but you'll need to make a tool to drive the vacuum section check valves in place on the fuel pump.

Have you the dual pump in place and taken the motor apart and cleaned it all up? mattsoldcars has a write up IIRC. In fresh condition there is nothing wrong with vacuum wipers. Someone once told me they just cut a new swiper seal in the motor out of leather and it was like new.
