In 65 199 cars (rather rare in big cars, I'd say no Marlins -- fleet cars only) came with the AMC 15 w/ 3.31 gears stock (stick or auto), 232s got AMC 20s 3.15 gears. 287 and 327 models came with 3.54s stock with stick, 3.15s w/auto. Same in 66, only no 199s in big cars, was a 65 only fleet option. ----------------- Date: Sun, 27 Feb 2011 17:50:40 +0000 (UTC) From: Wrambler<wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx> If anyone is building a torque tube car. I believe the six cylinder stick shift car "should" have an AMC 20 with 3:55 or equiv in 1965/66. That would be a fairly hard to come by torque tube assembly. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
