Probably just a change in the model names for 82, with the SX/4 the base
model and "Sport" a higher grade of trim. The TSM just identifies them
as Series 30 (the Concord based models) and Series 50 (Spirit based)
Eagles. 53 is the Liftback, 56 the 2dr. Sedan (Gremlin-like body). Those
would be the 6th and 7th digits of the VIN, btw.
Many Jeepers use a Motorcraft 2100 or Holley 2300 with an adapter on the
factory 80+ aluminum 2V intake. I think you want the 1.08" venturi 2100
or the 350 cfm 2300. There's a lot of info on the 2100 swap on the net.
There's a 500 cfm 2300 also. The 2300 might be the better choice since
it's half a Holley 4V and easy to find jets for. You have to really
search for different jets for the 2100.

ok, i got a couple pics tonight. they just got posted to my picasaweb
albums. go look under the "bumble bee" album. this car doesnt say sx4 on
it. it says "sport". there was an sx4 there also, but it had the 4cyl in
it. i thought the sx4 was 4cyl 2doors. this says nothing of sx4 anywhere.
WOW this later amc stuff is a little different than what im used to. i
know the old rambler stuff decent. this new motor and eagle, well, some
is different, but i noticed, the front suspension on the eagle and
spirit, they really arent THAT much different than my 63 440H. but
FRIGGIN CRAP, all the stinkin vacume and primitive electronic crap. i
HATE it. its all leaving. hei dizzy, and a simple 2bbl carb. whats the
best 2bbl carb for one of these, that would work with my 4.6 i PLAN to
build?
