Well, I've agreed to purchase the lot of NOS AMC parts from my son's
girlfriend's father, who owns a Chrysler (former AMC) dealership - 300+ part
numbers. They're not in hand yet, but should be by the end of the week.
I've posted the part numbers (lose the leading "J" for the AMC part number)
along with accompanying brief description and quantity on hand:
http://www249.pair.com/danritz/AMC_Parts.htm
Should anyone need any of this stuff, please let me know.
This oughta be interesting...

What I suggestt that you do is give the seller (Daughter's friend's
father-in-law or whoever) a message that you will pay X-amount for all the
parts in a bulk buy and see if he takes the offer. Iif he does, you'll be
able to see the parts and the group number will also be on many if not most
of the parts tags and you'll be able to figure out the application much more
quickly than just fumbling with the part numbers. I have made money on
every bulk parts lot I have purchased. And not just a little money
sometimes.

Thanks Jim (and Greg Taylor: "go to www.chryslerpartsdirect.com and
put the p/n's in the JEEP line with the J infront of the 7-digit AMC p/n.")
for the help. Unfortunately, I'm coming up nearly empty in all the searches
that I've done; I've only gotten two hits out of all the numbers that I've
tried. One of them was for a 1960-64 Ambassador/Classic differential
bearing, the other was a 1946-2006 Jeep differential bearing.
The spreadsheet contains over 300 different parts, so I have a lot
of research to do. Does anyone know if a Hollanders would be of any help?
I've included a portion of the list below to give you a taste for
what I'm dealing with.
Thanks for any help that you can give me.
