you -have- to use the amc gear; the gm one has the opposite helix.  i
believe that's b/c the chevy i6 cam is gear driven and not chain, and
thus spins in the opposite direction.

since the dist comes from the chevy i6, i used chevy i6 wires on mine.

my marlin had a 232 too, and i saw another at the 4seasons meet in
sturbridge last summer.  i'm beginning to think they actually made
quite a few of them.  yours isn't bronze color by any chance?
