Tom. Typically if it is a remote mirror the cable sheath has popped out of the die cast housing on one end or t'other. Perhaps JB weld? If it is non remote. Those screws that are a pia to get to are likely loose. Bad as it sounds. Trace the existing glass, then proceed to have at it. Any good glass shop can cut you a new mirror and you just glue it in. Back in the not quite old days we used to break those "objects are closer than they appear" mirrors and replace them with flat glass mirrors. You'd be surprised at how many old timers hated those things and wanted them changed out! The 72 Hornet has a wobbly mirror and I'd like to see if I can fix it without smashing the glass! (I'm assuming it's unrepairable though).
