Nick and everyone else, you see these emails from all the time with a 'link' one is
supposed to click on. It seems to started out with banks, then sites like ebay, paypal,
myspace (gee, is anyone even on myspace anymore?) and facebook. I get a lot of these:
"I'm pretty sure that one can find true love via the Internet. A beautiful single woman
from Russia dreams to meet her soul mate. See my pictures and view my profile.
insoluble0155555.spaces.live
of which I have changed the URL so none of you will go looking for 400 pound Natasha
there, but the links look legit, and once you click on them it instantly downloads a virus
or trojan into your computer as someone else mentioned. The script writer can then take
over your computer, and it replicates itself sending otu tons of those things. They can
also read what sites you visit, and what you type! Hijacked user ID and passwords also as
how many times have there been threads here about scam ebay auctions, or scam craigslist
ads for instance?
Whoa, as I was writing, Natasha (probably rupaul) sent me this:

Subject: Natasha gives me ur email
I'm a pretty girl, sweet and so sexy. i will try to do all 4 ur pleasure I'm here (link
deleted)
Yah, sure see you on Dateline will bring a six of Nick's Hard Lemonade for you and Hanna
Montana movie....hee hee.
I have a rather good firewall here, and anti virus, but those can only do so much. Even if
the email 'appears' to come from a 'friend' (in this case Nick) it's best to NOT, simply
NOT click on the link.
And here is another off epage:
"Hi Mate, I'm Max Williams from London, Uk. I saw your wanted ad on the internet
and i decided to mail you to see if you are still interested in the
requested item as i have them in stock. What's Your Mobile #?
Regards
Max Williams
Email: max.willssales@xxxxxxxxx
Mobile Number: +447035993503
Address: 110 Marylebone High Street London, W1U 4RY"
while no "link" to click on.....same sh*t, from scammer who can't even spell AMC, just
forward those to abuse@xxxxxxxxx and they shut their account quickly.
Regardless, it's best to simply go directly to Facebook and log in. Same with ebay,
paypal, bank of america, chase, whoever to see if the "message" is in your personal
account or mailbox on that site!

something from within there.? Those facebook things come all?the time.
Jim, is that a virus from Facebook because my spyware and virus scanner didn't pick it up.
Nick
