Jesse, I installed an MSD Pro-Billet Ready to Run Electronic distributor in the white Javelin. I'm very happy with how this distributor performs. I know it's an expensive one, but I decided to forego RM and get the best. I had a Mallory dual point in the car until I couldn't find the correct cap. It's a split cap that traps the wires. I even called Mallory and they informed me they no longer service that model of distributor. I also installed a set of MSD wires. Very happy with that too, and it all looks so hot. The distributor has that plate on the top that keeps the wires perfectly in place no matter what. Just out of curiosity, you could call Mallory and ask them why there isn't a drfit pin or a drift pin hole?? I'm curious too. OK, I reckon I am stocking to Zack's (Z & M Jeeps) HEI Distributors. I bought a Wag that came with a bunch of new, never installed parts... All new Brake parts, Edelbrock INtake and Carb and a shiny new Mallory HEI Dist. Took the HEI out of the Box this weekend and lo and behold, the rumors are true there is NO HOLE for the drift pin to secure the drive gear... WHAT?! How do they get away with that? So, though I have a drill press... I can't imagine doing this... there are no instructions with it. Has anyone successfully pulled this off? Or am I better selling this off and using the $ to buy a different one? Have a great weeekend, Jesse _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.
