I just finished pulling the existing tank. All I can think to say is WOW! It is spotless! No varnish. Not a speck of rust anywhere. My RM is Soooooo happy :) I mopped out the little bit of gas that would not pour out. It is sitting at a 45* angle in the sun cooking. I had sprayed it with rubberized undercoat last time is was out , so it a nice dark color and getting nice and hot. Fumes are all ready pretty light with the shop vac blowing through it. I did exactly what we talked about and forgot to change over my shop vac hose to BLOW! Lucky I realized instantly and shut it down by unplugging it, no flame. Just goes to show you never put your brain in neutral when doing fuel tank stuff! Whew. Got to do a shopping list and get back at it. We are in spring break so I only have to work Monday and Tuesday. I hope to have it up and running by Easter :) Need some floor cleaner and assorted stuff.
