I bought this wagon about 2 years ago, did a brake and suspension swap on it and it sat since then. Since I am laid off right now, I decided to work on it. I had sprayed all kinds of stuff in it last year to free up the engine, but it stayed stuck. So I yanked out the engine last weekend and to get the tork convert off, I decided the pull the crank. I hooked up the puller to the lower pully and started to pull the balancer, and the engine spun free. So I sprayed the cylinders real good and kept turning it over. What I found out was that a valve had stuck and that was jamming the engine. I found a push rod shaped like an "s" that had bent and finally freed the engine. The engine looks good, the crank is real clean and no wear evident on the bearings. So I would say if someone is trying to free up their stuck engine, while you are spraying the cylinders, pull off the rocker covers and give the valves a shot, too......Russ _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
