You discovered the Nutter Bypass for yourself! Very simple to do. I think switching to a 2 plug ignition box would do the same thing. I'm tempted to hook in something to control the engine timing with that harness but the HO efi Ill be running won't run a knock sensor afaik.

It doesn't. My 83 Jeep J-10 had the computer disconnected and an older BBD installed. I removed the wiring and computer. I don't recall details, but it was easy to do. Hmmm... there was ONE problem I recall -- one of the wires from the ignition box DID go to the computer, or rather through the computer harness. Was a simple matter to track it down and cut/splice it back. Would be real easy to make it all look stock. If I'd swapped an older distributor and wiring in you'd never be able to tell -- just plugged the hold for the computer wiring as was done on the car mentioned.
