adjust the gloss to match the overall gloss of the car. If you are trying tospot paint a panel then the base clear will not give satisfactory results. The only paint that will do that is lacquer. By the way Tower Paint in WI http://www.towerpaint.com/
sells paint in spray cans. They can mix the original color in Lacquer and Acryllic Enamel. If you want to just blend a spot on a pnel use the lacquer, for the whole panel use the enamel. I have used Tower Paint for years andtheir enamel is easy to spray, resists running and has an excellent gloss. Hope this helps.
