I want to replace the hood trim on my 68 AMX but the lip under the chrome does not allow room for any kind of tool to loosen the nuts. It looks like I may have to pry the lower part of the lip down to get anything in there to take the nuts off. Has anyone else had this kind of issue? Any tips would be great. Thanks

The tool grips the nut from the inside, like an allen key or wrench. It has a hole through the center to clear the stud.
