61 Classic, American, or Ambassador? Actually it doesn't matter. You just need the brackets and a GM 10SI or other alternator. DO NOT mess with a "one wire" alternator! A standard alternator will work, and will retain your GEN light (only it will be an ALT light that says GEN now...). Easy to find instructions on the Internet... Try this link:

The $32.95 universal works perfectly on Rambler sixes, not sure about the V-8s.
