I also have an American locking gas cap, Brand new with key. It is in an unmarked cardboard box so I suspect it is aftermarket.
Since I do not know what fuel neck I am using in my trunk fill custom neck. Is there anyway to tell what year American my cap fits? It is a chrome V cap. I've never tried to sell it as I have no idea what year it fits or its value.

In which case, since I have a 1966 American, send me a picture and let me know what you want for it. :) Locking gas cap...good, good. Stolen gas....bad, bad. Joe Fulton
