I do not understand why you want to stay with the stock leaf springs if you are tubbing. I would agree with the others though. You'll want a set spec'd for an SC/rambler, at least that is what I would get if buying new. If lowbucking it, you may consider what I have under my car and skip buying anything new... I took two sets of stock original leaf packs, kept the best mains, lucky they were already under the car! I doubled the second set and used a single 3rd leaf, this puts that car back about stock original ride height. Since mine is lowered I used a set of 1 1/2" blocks to lower it, but you won't want blocks on high power application, it will wind thos stock spring up like spaghetti! For a tubbed car, I would cut the spring eyes off the second set of mains and double those. Then I would look into making the front mount point higher in the chassis when/if I moved them inboard of the rails. >From what I have read about an inch higher will give a better center of gravity for launch. Don't expect me to be able to explain this well, but it is reported by Peirre Bouchamp (SP?) I hope I got the name right! He says this works well. I'd not use stock leaves at all, they are narrow, only 1 1/2 or 1 3/4" wide. Any wheel hop at all and you will total them. I'd measure them to tell you what a stock pack is in length but I am unable to do ANYTHING right now.
