I decided to spend some quality time with my Holley 1909. Took it apart, lined all the bits and pieces up. Cleaned and scrubbed and sprayed. Read the section in the TSM and eye-ballled the pieces as I put the carb back together. Hmmmm, seem to be a few fiddly bits short. Missing the fuel baffle and the spring for the idle speed mixture screw. Also missing the fuel inlet needle retainer. Time to go on a hunt for parts. The fuel inlet needle isn't going anywhere. I guess the retainer would be cool. I think I could just pick up a spring for the idle mixture screw anywhere. Not so sure about the baffle though. Do I need it? What does it do? That would probably be a call to a Rambler specialist, right? _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
