Not just landau (vinyl) roofs. Also "fake wood" on the sides and I think
"branded decals". Remember the last of the AMXs with those big "AMX"
pinstripe bird-like decal on the hood? If you count the Alliance/Encore
as an AMC (hey, it more or less was, like it or not), then you have th
digital dash too. Even if you don't count the Alliance/Encore, you just
about have to count the Premier. It too sported some digital
instrumentation. The early Premier driving computers had displays that
were too dim to read in daylight, especially with a few years on them.
And lets not forget fake hood scoops! AMC led the pack on that one --
the 54-55 Nash Rambler (maybe even 53 -- couldn't find a good pic of
that year) had one of those! At least Jeep didn't get into the huge SUV
thing. I suppose you could say AM General was guilty, but the original
Hummer was only a niche market vehicle due to price and limited utility
as a civilian vehicle. --------------- Date: Sun, 12 Jul 2009 12:03:43

Fun. Okay, so which ones were AMC guilty of? Am I right if I guess just
the landau roof?
