As I said a while ago, I believe from what I recall of the conversation that they did indeed charge him more once he got there than they quoted him over the phone. Walking away from rustfree American fenders is not an easy thing to do... I have been trying to find a reasonably priced rustfree drivers fender for my American for years now. I passed on a NOS 69 with surface rust only for $250, not because it was overpriced but rather because I did not want to weld up the predrilled side holes and work a perfect fender. I thought I'd let if be for someone doing a restoration car and find a used one for mine. I have regretted the decision every sense! Every one I have found has either been on the other coast and more costly, plus the risk of shipping or the seller has flaked out on me before I have gotten my hands on it! I have been considering a trip to Leons or similar someday to try and get a fender for mine. In my current condition I have no intention of spending any money on either one of my cars. I can't stand the sight of the mess of parts. I tried ot work today, I managed a miserable hour and a half, barely made a dent in things. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrac II " I realize that death is inevitable.
