I've had the foil backed bubble wrap on both sides of the firewall (engine compartment and passenger side) of my car for years. It's holding up well, and does a great job of heat insulation, but does absolutely nothing for sound. Not dense enough. Density means weight, nothing you can do about it. I also trimmed about 1/4" off each edge of my headliner and put the bubble wrap in the roof. It's basically reflective insulation, so it should help with summer heat -- can't say for sure. I also glued some in the doors using silicone. Again, not sure if it helps a whole lot. ----------------- Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2008 00:33:09 +0000 From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx I have the bubble wrap foil faced stuff. I just can't decide how well a job it will or will not do. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
