Hey Bruce,
I understand the hesitancy on this … I’m being the guinea pig for you guys, here on the AMC-List.  You can check out pics of the grooves, and feedback I got from Randy Naquin, the head guy on the Speedtalk forums, regarding the grooves.   According to him, the placement and width looks good, I just need to deepen them a bit, extending them further into the chamber roof.

While I don’t have the extra $$$ to do two sets of identical heads and get them dynoed, it would be nice to do so.  Suffice to say, if I can run my 10.25:1 compression motor, with a very mild 256 Extreme Hydraulic Comp cam on 87-89 octane pump gas, we’ll at least know that the grooves are doing “as advertised”.  My engine builder has a 9.5:1 304 in his Javelin and he runs 93 octane in it … and man does that Javelin scoot … it’s by no means an anemic 304 anymore!

I am still VERY skeptical of this procedure. There have been some ridiculous
claims made for it with virtually NO data to back it up. I will ask all the
custom cylinder head guys at the PRI show in Dec what they know about it and
post results here.
