Yeah, I believe you should be right, but....

Also, A little voice is whispering in my ear that in 65 the floor shift console equipped cars got the shift command.

Now, I'm going to have to go find those consoles! I got one from the conv and one from the flood car. Both 65's, I'm real curious now!
