I have a Pertronix unit but I haven't installed it yet. Yeah, I had to file a notch in the cap to avoid pinching the wire that comes out. I put it back in the same (rotor) position and the timing was unchanged! I bought the epoxy coil and got a 1.3ohm resistor, but thje stock coil should be fine, until you rev it past 5000 rpm.
