If it's the regular Pertronix unit I think you'll have to cut one addtional slot on the side of the distributor cap for a wire to exit. If it's the Pertronix II unit I think it is totally contained within the distributor. The plugs don't have to be regapped if you are using your stock coil. Good luck with it. I have a Pertronix unit but I haven't installed it yet.
