Okay, I've noticed the clutch slipping a little bit from time to time. Mainly when shifting into second and hitting a steep hill (downshifting form third into second to get into our neighborhood). My son took the car to work today, and noticed a lot more slipping when driving it in stop and go traffic. I think we discussed this before, and the clutch adjusts automatically, and there is only maybe 1/2" worth of adjustment that can be done. Correct me if I'm wrong. If the clutch is adjustable, how do I do that? I'd like to see if that helps, before wandering off to a transmission shop. I'm thinking there is no adjustment, as the TSM states "No adjustment for wear is provided in the clutch itself." Does that mean what I think it means? As in I can not address a high clutch pedal and a slipping clutch with simple adjustments? My car is a '65 American with the T96 manual transmission. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
